This welcoming, practical workshop is designed for anyone taking their very first steps with a sewing machine. If you’ve never sewn before—or just want to feel more confident—we’ll guide you from the absolute basics, helping you understand the machine and how it works.

Across the 3‑hour session, you’ll put your new knowledge into action by creating a tote bag using fabrics from our studio. It’s a relaxed, enjoyable introduction to essential sewing skills and a great way to begin your sewing journey.


What to Expect: Safety & Skill Building

  • How to thread the machine, wind a bobbin, and adjust tension

  • Techniques for sewing straight lines, corners, and curves

  • How to use seam allowances correctly

  • Reading and following a simple paper pattern

  • Pinning, cutting, pressing, and finishing seams with a zigzag stitch

  • Completing a tote bag to take home


Materials: Everything Included

Premium Supplies: All materials are provided, including professional‑grade threads, needles, and a curated selection of durable fabrics.

Personal Style: A variety of colors and patterns allows each student to design a tote that reflects their individual taste.

Just Bring Yourself: No need to purchase supplies or bring equipment. Simply drop your child off—we take care of the rest.


Class Cancellation & Refund Policy

All classes are non‑refundable. Because our groups are small, date changes are difficult. If you notify us at least two weeks before your class, a one‑time date change may be possible, but it is not guaranteed.

If we need to cancel a class, we will provide as much notice as possible and offer either a full refund or an alternative date.
